Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and freight containers, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Inventory Management: Sort, organize, and stow merchandise accurately according to established inventory systems.
- Quality Control: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate handheld scanners and basic material handling equipment (pallet jacks) as required.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork and digital logs for shipping and receiving.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctual attendance and dependability.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn inventory management software.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required (CDL not always necessary, but valid license is standard).
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail stocking is a plus but not always required.
