Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor equipment.
- Inventory Verification: Cross-reference shipping manifests and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to maintain a high-throughput workflow.
- Organization: Keep the loading dock area organized and ensure proper labeling of all products.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail is preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies in inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is a plus for coordinating with delivery drivers.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screen.
