Responsibilities
- Load and Unload:** Efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Control:** Accurately pick, pack, and stage merchandise to ensure order accuracy and meet shipping deadlines.
- Cargo Security:** Verify that all cargo is properly secured, wrapped, and protected to prevent damage during transit.
- Safety Compliance:** Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance:** Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to management immediately.
- Team Collaboration:** Work closely with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and productivity.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be in good physical condition.
- Experience:** Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Driver’s License:** Valid driver’s license required.
- Attention to Detail:** Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
- Reliability:** Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Education:** High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not always mandatory.
