Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks, pallets, and packages using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks) and manual labor.
- Inventory Management: Verify the quantity and condition of goods received and shipped, ensuring accuracy against packing lists.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from shelves and pack them securely for shipment, using proper packaging materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including warehouse aisles and dock areas.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and preparing packages.
- Equipment Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but we provide training.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, if needed.
- Valid ID: Must have a valid driver's license or state ID.
