Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight onto and off of trucks, railcars, and storage racks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check, count, and verify incoming and outgoing stock to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on equipment and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Packing & Labeling: Properly pack, wrap, and label packages to ensure safe transport and meet customer specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company safety protocols at all times.
- Documentation: Complete necessary shipping paperwork, including bills of lading and packing lists, with high precision.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse floor to facilitate efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- Equipment Operation: Willingness to be trained on forklifts and pallet jacks; valid forklift license is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members.
