Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trailers, trucks, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading.
- Inspect freight for damage during transit and report discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Package and label items securely for shipping to prevent damage.
- Operate handheld scanners to track inventory movement in real-time.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with forklifts (reach trucks, cherry pickers) is highly desirable.
