Responsibilities
- Safe Material Handling: Load and unload freight onto and from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Verification: Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damages, and correct counts against packing slips.
- Organization: Sort, pack, and label merchandise to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of loading equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand or walk for long periods.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training is provided.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure inventory accuracy and product safety.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts including weekends.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
