Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise onto and from trucks, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
- Inventory Management: Accurately sort, organize, and stage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure proper inventory counts.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including packing slips and delivery logs, ensuring all data is up to date.
- Equipment Care: Perform routine safety checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly. Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and walking throughout the facility.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in loading and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
