Job Summary
As a Picker Packer, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for selecting merchandise from the warehouse shelves and ensuring it is accurately packed and prepared for shipment. We are looking for reliable team members who take pride in their work and maintain a high standard of safety and organization.
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick and verify merchandise against customer orders using handheld scanners and computer systems.
- Packing & Shipping: Pack items securely using appropriate materials to ensure damage-free transit.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure all packaging meets company standards.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other warehouse machinery.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep your designated work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and other departments to meet daily shipping targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, picking, or packing is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, verify barcodes, and ensure order accuracy.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and have a consistent work history.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory checks and packaging.
- Equipment Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
