Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, and shipping operations
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain OSHA compliance and accident prevention
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on equipment operation, inventory procedures, and performance standards
- Optimize workflow efficiency through lean methodologies and process improvement initiatives
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation systems
- Coordinate with transportation teams for seamless dock scheduling and load planning
- Generate performance reports and KPIs for operational analysis
- Resolve operational challenges and escalate complex issues to senior management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a logistics or distribution setting
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety management credentials
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to operational detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics preferred
