Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring optimal workflow, efficiency, and timely order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse staff to maintain high morale and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and manage the receiving and shipping processes accurately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and coordinate the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement strategies to improve speed and reduce errors.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for client orders and resolve any logistical issues professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or operations.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10/30 General Industry training.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and driving performance improvements.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions.
