Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to minimize risks and ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Process Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance for forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze daily/weekly reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy and shipping times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CDL not required but preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead briefings and training sessions.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
