Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and shipping of inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to optimize inventory control.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and reduce costs.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts while adhering to flexible hour requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10/30 General Industry certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and lead a team effectively.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues quickly and efficiently.
