Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Direct, train, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage stock accuracy to prevent discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10-hour training is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
