Buffalo Distribution Solutions is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to manage our high-volume facility in Buffalo, NY. Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies using our WMS.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff to maximize productivity and morale.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards, conduct regular safety audits, and maintain a clean work environment.
- Equipment Oversight: Manage the maintenance and utilization of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the warehouse flow and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is required.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead meetings effectively.
