The Role:
You will be responsible for the supervision of a team of warehouse associates, managing inventory flow, and maintaining a safe work environment. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has a strong eye for operational detail.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
- Manage inventory levels through regular cycle counts and stocktakes, resolving discrepancies immediately.
- Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance to ensure high productivity, accuracy, and team morale.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation departments to optimize workflow and resolve shipping issues.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and work areas.
- Prepare daily reports regarding labor hours, productivity, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or team lead role.
- Valid forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) and ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse management systems (WMS) like SAP or Oracle.
- Proven track record of enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a zero-accident workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
