Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct, supervise, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock control procedures, inventory counts, and ensure accurate record-keeping of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Operations Oversight: Manage daily workflows, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping functions to meet service level agreements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors) and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in warehouse operations and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to track productivity and address any operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate heavy machinery safely.
- Certification: Forklift certification and OSHA 10/30 Hour safety training preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in inventory and documentation.
