Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and maximize accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in workflows and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure product quality and proper packaging standards are met.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead briefings and train new hires effectively.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions.
