Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement strict inventory control procedures to minimize loss and waste.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a hazard-free work environment for all employees.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse staff to ensure optimal productivity, morale, and performance.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement process improvements to increase operational speed and accuracy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and safety checks of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to provide management with accurate data on productivity and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 30-hour General Industry training.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, actionable instructions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the workday.
