Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Lead, train, mentor, and schedule a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and maximize accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflows and implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a high-volume distribution center.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Leadership: Proven track record of supervising teams and driving performance improvements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
