Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and timely order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage the receiving and shipping processes.
- Equipment Handling: Operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and inspected.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the warehouse process and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer applications (Excel, Outlook).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
