Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Management: Supervise, schedule, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate stock management.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflow and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance for forklifts and material handling equipment to prevent downtime.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report to management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10 or 30 training is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
