Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and coordinate with procurement teams to optimize inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce operational costs.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to track KPIs and communicate performance updates to management.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within the logistics sector.
- Licensure: Valid Forklift Operator certification and prior experience operating heavy machinery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates.
- Leadership: Strong proven track record of leading teams, conducting performance reviews, and driving high employee engagement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
