Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Pick and pack customer orders with high accuracy and speed to meet daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Perform inventory counts and stock adjustments as directed by warehouse management.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow during peak weekend hours.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling and equipment storage.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and navigating uneven surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
