Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, scan, and stock inventory to maintain accurate warehouse records.
- Picking & Packing: Fulfill customer orders by picking items from the shelves and preparing them for shipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of debris to ensure operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- License: Valid driver's license required (Class B preferred but not mandatory for the forklift role).
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; strong work ethic is more important.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess excellent observational skills to ensure accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior forklift experience is necessary; we provide all necessary training.
- Communication: Basic English reading and speaking skills required for safety instructions.
