Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring cargo security.
- Temperature Control: Monitor cold storage units to ensure temperatures remain within safe and regulatory ranges.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing inventory against shipping documents with high accuracy.
- Stock Organization: Maintain organized, orderly shelving and storage areas to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and wearing protective clothing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and report any issues with warehouse equipment or facility maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Temperature Tolerance: Comfortable working in environments that fluctuate between 30°F and 40°F.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and verifying orders.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and be punctual.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
