Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated and frozen storage zones
- Safely load/unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks while adhering to FIFO protocols
- Conduct daily inventory counts and cycle counts using warehouse management systems
- Inspect product quality and report spoilage or temperature deviations immediately
- Maintain strict sanitation standards across all storage and handling areas
- Operate powered industrial equipment (PIT) with proper certification
- Complete daily safety checklists and participate in emergency drills
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain company-sponsored certification)
- Ability to work in 0°F to 40°F environments for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete within 30 days
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
