Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F) to move, stack, and organize inventory
- Maintain strict temperature monitoring protocols and document environmental conditions
- Perform quality control inspections on incoming/outgoing perishable goods
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements for cold storage operations
- Utilize warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and order fulfillment
- Conduct routine sanitation procedures and equipment maintenance checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cold storage workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse operations or cold storage environments
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and withstand sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP) or pharmaceutical handling standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan) preferred
