Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain precise temperature/humidity levels in -10°F to 40°F storage zones
- Operate electric pallet jacks and RF scanners for inventory rotation and order fulfillment
- Conduct daily safety audits on refrigeration units and emergency protocols
- Coordinate with remote logistics team via digital platforms for real-time inventory updates
- Implement FIFO rotation systems for perishable goods with 99.8% accuracy
- Train on OSHA-compliant cold stress mitigation and PPE usage
- Participate in quarterly waste reduction initiatives targeting 5% annual improvement
Qualifications
- 1+ years cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse experience
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs in -10°F environments for extended periods
- Proficient in WMS systems (Manhattan, Oracle, or similar)
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to complete training within 30 days)
- Basic HVAC troubleshooting knowledge preferred
- Comfortable with hybrid remote scheduling (2-3 days/month virtual work)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
