Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature conditions in refrigerated storage areas
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move perishable goods efficiently
- Implement FIFO inventory rotation and stock rotation procedures
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and storage facilities
- Train new team members on cold storage protocols and safety standards
- Coordinate with quality control team on product integrity checks
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification preferred
- Ability to work in 32°F-40°F environments for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
