Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in cold storage units using digital monitoring systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory using FIFO methods
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to transport perishable goods safely
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to warehouse management
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA protocols for food safety compliance
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 40°F
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Availability for rotating shifts including early mornings and weekends
