Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-20°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones using industrial refrigeration systems
- Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and automated conveyance systems with provided specialized cold-weather equipment
- Inspect and document product integrity using thermal scanning tools and digital inventory systems
- Adhere to HACCP protocols and OSHA safety standards for cold environments
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated transport vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance on cold storage equipment under supervision
- Utilize warehouse management software for inventory tracking and order fulfillment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage, warehouse operations, or temperature-controlled environments
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid OSHA-compliant cold weather gear certification or ability to pass physical assessment
- Proficient in operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) with provided training
- Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to sub-zero temperatures with provided protective equipment
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced, climate-controlled conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
