Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors to load and unload temperature-sensitive freight.
- Climate Control Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols when moving goods through refrigerated zones and maintain proper PPE usage.
- Inventory Accuracy: Perform cycle counts and stock checks to ensure inventory records match physical stock levels.
- Freight Preparation: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the cold storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in varying temperatures (0°F to 40°F).
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics setting is preferred.
- Documentation: Must be able to read, write, and understand English and possess a valid ID.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification: Forklift certification (OSHA) is a strong plus.
