We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Cold Storage Workers to join our expanding team in Lubbock, TX. Our facility handles high-volume inventory and requires strict adherence to safety protocols and cold chain regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are stored and handled with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trailers and trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment within the cold storage facility.
- Monitor product temperatures regularly to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and accurately update stock records in the warehouse management system.
- Package and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and handling of perishable goods.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding heavy lifting and equipment operation.
- Assist in maintaining the overall organization of the warehouse aisles and storage racks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a cold storage, warehousing, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in extreme cold temperatures (below freezing) for extended periods.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and shipping labels.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
