Responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated storage units and temperature-controlled environments (0°F to 40°F)
- Safely handle and organize frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods using provided forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain inventory accuracy through scanning systems and documentation protocols
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety standards in all daily operations
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with team for efficient loading/unloading of perishable goods
- Support sanitation procedures to maintain food-grade facility standards
Qualifications
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for equipment operation)
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends
- No prior cold storage experience required – we provide comprehensive training
