Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures in refrigerated/freezer zones using provided digital thermometers
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold-specific handling equipment (all provided)
- Inspect and rotate inventory using FIFO methods to prevent spoilage
- Sanitize workstations and equipment following HACCP protocols
- Document temperature logs and inventory movement in digital systems
- Collaborate with team during high-volume receiving/shipping operations
- Report equipment malfunctions to maintenance team immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in 32°F-0°F environments for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain (training provided)
- Valid driver's license (company vehicles available)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly with provided mechanical assistance
- Reliable attendance and punctuality critical
