Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and stock inventory within the cold storage facility while maintaining accurate records.
- Temperature Control: Monitor refrigeration units and ensure the facility remains within the required temperature ranges for food safety compliance.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all 5S principles and safety regulations.
- Order Picking: Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring timely delivery to our clients.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments.
- Cold Tolerance: Willingness and ability to work in temperatures ranging from 35°F to 40°F.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for warehouse driving duties.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
