Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport pallets of goods using forklifts and pallet jacks within the freezing temperatures.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and record incoming and outgoing inventory to maintain real-time stock levels.
- Climate Control: Monitor storage units to ensure temperature regulations are strictly maintained for product integrity.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing aisles.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage or spoilage and report discrepancies immediately to the supervisor.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks on forklifts and storage equipment before use.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, cold storage, or logistics is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments.
- License: Valid forklift certification (Class A/B/C) is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and be available for overtime as needed.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
