Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring proper handling of temperature-sensitive goods.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing stock.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and record storage temperatures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping floors, organizing pallets, and reporting any equipment malfunctions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow all company safety protocols.
- Palletizing: Properly palletize products to ensure stability during storage and transportation.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in cold environments (32°F to 45°F).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Equipment: Basic knowledge of forklift operations is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
