Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight trucks efficiently and safely using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper organization of stock within the cold storage facility.
- Monitor and document temperature logs to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of storage areas to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments for outbound delivery, including packaging and labeling.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work in environments with temperatures below 35°F (0°C).
- Basic computer literacy for logging data and reading labels.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid driver's license (not always required, but a plus for site access).
