Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from refrigerated trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts in sub-zero environments.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move goods within the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and cold-weather gear usage.
- Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Keep storage areas organized, clean, and free of hazards to prevent spoilage and accidents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly in varying temperature conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team.
- Valid forklift certification (if applicable to role).
