Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy within the cold storage environment, ensuring stock levels are up to date.
- Adhere to safety protocols strictly, including wearing required PPE and following OSHA guidelines to prevent workplace accidents.
- Manage product temperature logs and ensure compliance with food safety and pharmaceutical storage regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and RF scanners to move stock throughout the facility.
- Assist in organizing stock to maximize space utilization and streamline picking and packing processes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in freezing or refrigerated environments (typically 35°F or below) for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long shifts.
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or RF scanners is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
