Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in compliance with OSHA standards
- Inspect and rotate inventory using FIFO principles
- Document temperature logs and quality control metrics
- Sanitize equipment and facilities following HACCP protocols
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams for efficient loading/unloading
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand 8+ hours
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA/USDA)
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
