Responsibilities
- Safely Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage to goods.
- Inventory Verification: Cross-reference packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accuracy before and after loading.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and according to company protocols.
- Organization: Maintain an organized warehouse layout, ensuring pallets and stock are stacked safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: A high school education is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and verify details accurately.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to a consistent work schedule.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory counting and verification.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but we provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates.
