Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature controls in refrigerated/freezer environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment safely
- Load/unload shipments while adhering to FIFO inventory protocols
- Conduct quality checks on perishable goods upon receipt
- Sanitize equipment and workspaces according to HACCP standards
- Complete inventory logs using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse/cold storage experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Forklift certification or ability to pass training within 30 days
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP/SQF)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
