Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stage materials within the cold storage facility using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate stock records, and assist in cycle counts.
- Climate Control Maintenance: Monitor temperature logs and ensure the storage environment remains within required specifications to preserve product integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Care: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment and report any issues to management immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse layout to facilitate efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Temperature Tolerance: Ability to work efficiently in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F.
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage environments is highly preferred.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and attendance.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
