Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (including forklifts and pallet jacks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials in the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load and unload freight from trucks, railcars, or trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated storage areas to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times to prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status and operational needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
- Valid driver's license (not strictly required for the forklift role, but preferred for internal driving).
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions (warehouses can be hot or cold).
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
