Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, carrier selection, and freight scheduling
- Manage customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays or discrepancies
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams to optimize shipping timelines
- Maintain accurate shipping records and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
- Negotiate rates with freight carriers and manage vendor relationships
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for shipping processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics/shipping coordination with port exposure
- Proficiency in WMS/TMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and hazardous materials handling
- Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate across multiple departments
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in time-sensitive environments
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Experience with international documentation (Bills of Lading, commercial invoices)
