Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, ensuring proper labeling and placement according to FIFO procedures.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols; conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a professional warehouse setting.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
