Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to delivery trucks.
- Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management, including scanning, counting, and organizing stock to maintain accurate records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to streamline operations and meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
